Salsa in the Park, Sunday, May 20, 2001

On Sunday, May 20, 2001 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, the Highland Park Community Club in cooperation with the City of Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation Department and Councilman Jim Ferlo sponsored a salsa party in the park. The party took advantage of the two meanings of the word "salsa": the dancing, and the food! Photos taken Sunday, May 20, 2001 |

The salsa party took place at Rhododendron Grove.
Robert Rogers provided the Latin Dance instruction.
Latin Impulse provided the Latin music.

The neighborhood provided the homemade salsa!
Families brought their picnic baskets and children played on the swings and playground area at the pavilion.
Other activities included piñatas for the children and a raffle for the adults.
